Great news for all us Droids:

As for as i am concerned the only thing apple has going for it is the control panel and in some cases the watch apps.
I walked away from apple over connectivity issues with my aids and iPhone. I am very happy with my Samsung S23 and my aids and the companion app is working just fine on my phone. The switching from my Real1 aids to my More1 aids is a simple process that is much easier to do than was possible with the iPhone.

While Samsung is one of the very few compatible makers I would advise anyone to go with Google Pixel phones instead. Samsung messes a lot with Android system and it more often than not results in issues.

I will stick with my Samsung. While i have nothing against the Google phone, my carrier gave me a deal i wasn’t going to turn down. I haven’t had any issues with my S23 even thought others claim they have. I haven’t seen the issues.

Android 15 update.
I just started the 1.4 GB download.
Revisions did not mention Bluetooth.
Or is this old news?

Google doesn’t seem to be focused on HOH or deaf people, so they hardly include features they’ve implemented for us.
Once you’ve downloaded a15, you should have the new options in the settings > Accessibility section.
My P6a doesn’t support LE Audio, and I still haven’t downloaded a15, so idk what is added personally.
Keep us posted!

Back early in android 15 it was one of the big positives for the upgrade. My understanding is that the setup is improving.

While I agree with Reginald, and have been running Android 15 on my Pixel 8, I haven’t noticed any difference when connected to my Phonak Marvel hearing aids.

The Bluetooth connection ran just fine on my previous phone a Pixle 4a5g. I have become a Pixle fan, because we get quarterly feature updates, and monthly security & stability updates.

The updates are for the AHAS Bluetooth hearing aids and the aids with le audio.

Yes, Android 15 has specific patches for LE Audio and ‘dual mode’ phones such as those that support both the LE Audio protocol and the ASHA protocol.

One UI 6.1.1 has some of those fixes in it and LE Audio is now performing well on several Pixel and Galaxy phones with certain newer Jabra, ReSound, Oticon, Phillips and Rexton hearing aids.

My partner and I are happy campers with our Jabra EP 20s on Galaxy S23 and S24 Ultras.

It’s looking like my Pixel 7a is getting better battery life since updating to Android 15.
That’s a good thing for this phone.

I’ve had zero issues using my Samsung S23 Ultra.

Same, Pixel 7, and it’s a huge difference. No overheating any more/yet either. But as far as A15 audio routing, that’s a sh1tshow. I use a couple of streaming apps, and sometimes a browser, for listening to music… A15 can get tied in knots routing audio to the wrong client or it thinks it is but it’s actually going nowhere. This may yet be apps playing catch-up with A15, but I’d still recommend anyone extensively using Android for BT listening stick with A14 for now.
