Got my Noahlink Wireless 2, got my Rexton Connexx, start poking around… and promptly manage to blow away my existing programming. Connexx does not follow software standard behavior around saving changes!
Betting may now begin on whether I can get them back into decent shape myself or have to give in and go back to get them reloaded (I’m assuming they have the last program saved and can just reload), and also what they will say/do when it is revealed I am poking around where they might think I shouldn’t be.
Well it’s always a good idea to read the user guides before jumping in, especially that part about making up two clients, Connexx makes the changes on the fly (which you’ve noticed) did you check the sessions that Connexx saved, maybe you got something there, and yes your local clinic will have saved your last fitting with them.
Why worry about this, they are your HAs and you can do what you like with them, remember the Audiologist works for you, not the other way round, you could make up any scenario as to why/how it happened to fob them off, as a DIY’er your no longer beholden to them, why not just do the first fit and see how you like them, very easy to make adjustments over time to get sounding how you like them.
The hearing aids are mine, but the software is not exactly freely available.
The user guide I’ve got is the pdf linked in the app, and it’s only a few pages long. I don’t see anything about making two programs. I think I know what you mean though. I turned down its offer to save the session because I didn’t think there was anything worth saving (and thought that might make it save changes to the aids themselves).
It’ll be a fun little project to mess with over the weekend.
