I’m adjusting my Java EP 20’s with Smartfit and I don’t see how to set the initial volume. The volume level the HA’s are at when I first pull them out of the charger.
Well that’s preset by SmartFit depending on your audogram, also the experience level and which fitting formula is being used, easy way if you believe everything is too loud just set the experience level to new user
at the bottom of the Device Controls/ Manual Controls is the volume range slider .
Also on the Gain Adjustment … in center of the upper level is Gain % box to set the over all volume.
All of these adjustments change the volume range. Not allow you to fine tune the startup volume without impacting the range of the volume. Is this true? When my HA’s where set by Costco the startup volume slider was in the center. With my DIY setup at startup the slider is off set to a higher point in the slider range. Limiting the amount of gain I can use.
With Smartfit this will also work
just adjust the slider where you would like to be, the values are on the Gray circles … + - up to 12 (I think DB ) .
I appears we are not answering you question … because you have not told us want you are trying to do … raise the start up or lower it . There are several ways to do that .
- change the experience level .
- change the volume % on the Gain page.
- select all on the lower half of the Gain page, and raise or lower the gain .( this can be done either linked or unlinked … to both aids or one )… changing either 1 or 2 above simply makes changes to the gain on the lower half of the gain page.
The aids always start at the values displayed on the gain page !
