AB M90 Sky CI not connecting to Bluetooth office phone

I am trying to connect my CI to my office phone to use the CI as a headset. I can’t hear through the phone headset. I can hear through the speaker, but as I am a healthcare provider, there are patient privacy concerns so using speaker all the time is unacceptable. Besides, it is loud and can disturb the rest of the clinic.

My office phone is an Avaya J179 with a J100 Bluetooth card installed. I have been able to pair my CI to my office phone, but not connect. I have disabled Bluetooth to all other devices within range, including my cell phone. It always says "unable to connect, make sure that your device is on and in range. "

I have already reached out to AB customer service but I was wondering if anyone had real world experience.

Thank you!

There’s seems to be a lot of complaint of Phonaks not connecting to landline phones.

It’s because Phonak use a different Bluetooth protocol. I’ll try and find the thread on it.

Maybe you’re having issues because AB and Phonak use the same Bluetooth.

EDIT - found it.

I know it’s the Paradise but both Marvel and Paradise use the same Bluetooth.
