I’m 72 years old and have had single sided deafness since 1995. I have 0% word recognition in the deaf ear. All I hear is noises that I cannot identify and tinnitus. Until recently, I could not justify the cost of a CROS hearing aid set. But, due to the generosity of my wife and that I found a great deal online I am now the proud owner of the Phonak Audeo Paradise CROS System. I am so pleased with the results, my only regret is that I didn’t have this for the past 25 years.

The tinnitus is still there, but unless I think about it, it’s not particularly bothersome. I’ve gotten used to it after 25 years.

UPDATE: June 19, 2024- After having the CROSS Hearing Aids for a few years, I began to realize their shortcomings and become more unhappy with them daily. After speaking with my Audiologist, I was implanted with an Osia 2 Bone Implant Hearing Aid from Cochlear American. While it’s not perfect, I am closer to “normal” speech recognition than I have been since 1995.
