Age related hearing loss runs in both paternal and maternal families. Have difficulty distinguishing between some consonants and vowels. Don’t have audiogram handy. Hearing environments vary widely from private conversations, noisy restaurants and windy outdoors conditions, large conference room with multiple people speaking, crowded public events, teleconferences, and outdoor activities. Very active lifestyle such as but not limited to golf, hiking and backpacking, running and walking and weightlifting, hunting and camping, ride big cruiser motorcycle, yard work, whitewater rafting and canoeing, love music, extensive airline travel, conference room meetings, and on phone often. Consequently, HAs subject to sweaty conditions, potential for being caught in rain, dust, wind, high background noise, and wearing helmet. Often need 360 degree hearing capability. True sound reproduction and hearing quality are the most important aspects of HAs for me.
