I am 54 yrs old and lost my left side hearing following an acoustic Neuroma when I was 19 . I have to say I manage well just with my right side however about 5 yrs about I lost a portion of my hearing on the right . Cause is still unknown and not related to my left side . It’s taken a long time to adjust to using a hearing aid and life is still very much a challenge, especially when socialising as I hear better 1 to one 1 cause I also lip read . I joined this forum so I can get support and connect with people that are going through the same thing
