I put off getting hearing aids until age 65 when it became difficult to understand my wife’s beautiful voice. I have great difficulty figuring out many spoken words now and even greater difficulty with speech in noise environments to the point I basically avoid interacting with others. I’ve tried several different aids including Costco KS9’s (worst), Signia Experience 7 which were great for speech and music but not so well at SPN. The Oticon OPN S1 Are set to max off position limiting noise which seem dull in speech and music while offering very little help with SPN environments. Further searches reveal that Phonak B9 or Marvel and Widex 440 would be other options for me to explore but I would be interested in hearing other opinions / options.
