Mild to Profound Sensorineural Hearing Loss diagnosed 20 years ago. I had speech and language delay when I was 4, doctors found out I had conductive hearing loss in my right ear due to glue ear. I had surgery to have grommets put in both ears when I was around 6 years old. I had a normal audiogram afterwards.

When I turned 10, my family noticed my I was not ‘listening’. GP referred me to the audiologist and it was then I was diagnosed with SSHL.

My hearing loss has gradually gotten worse as time went on.

My stubbornness and refusal to wear hearing aids did not help. I am relearning all the words and sounds that I have missed out on all them years ago and now wear my hearing aids consistently.

I am using ReSound GN Danalogic Ambio 77 provided by the NHS (and forever thankful for the National Health Service)!
