I am an old retired electrical engineer and technical writer. My first job out of college was with an aircraft manufacturer where I was exposed to excessive jet engine noise (at point blank range) without hearing protection. For about 30 years I have been experiencing the benefits of that job, i.e. severe tinnitus. Now I will soon experience the next level of after effects - my own first hearing aids (Costco Rexton Reach hearing aids). Oh the joys of old age, but thankfully I am still kicking…
