I have been wearing hearing aids for about 18 years for a profound high-frequency hearing loss. Low frequencies are generally OK. For the last six years I’ve been wearing Earlens, which work well, but not perfect, in noisy environments. I have a 2nd pair of Resounds that I use with the TV streamer when watching TV or in Zoom meetings. I’ve decided not to go on a third 3-year contract with Earlens as I’m tired of constantly switching, connecting, and reconnecting 2 sets of HA’s throughout the day, depending upon TV, computer, meetings, etc.

While Earlens is a great HA and everyone at Earlens has been terrific, I’m disappointed they’ve never developed the Bluetooth devices that every other HA manufacturer has done.

I’ve been doing a lot of research and think the Phonak Audeo Lumity and a Roger On V2 might be a good fit for me. The idea of the Active Vent receiver is very appealing to me, particularly when I think my husband and pet parrot can hear the noise coming from my hearing aids as well as I can when I’m on the phone or streaming sound from TV or any other device.
