WIDEX hearing aids

@user490 Widex/Signia calls it AI, but it’s not a deep neural network like the Phonak Sphere. It’s a user interface that creates custom programs. It uses AI to suggest different settings (mainly changes in EQ and compression, from what I can tell) and you try them out and select which you prefer.

Can anyone with the new Widex Allure comment on feedback improvements?

Are there are any significant improvements from the Widex SmartRIC I purchased 1 yr ago ?

Widex makes it sound like it could be Whisper with the brain on the phone. Now we know.

Hi. Sorry more questions, with the app, can you control speech in noise like you can in the Phonaks, or does that all have to be done by your audiologist? I mean can you make custom programs with different levels of speech and noise etc? I’m hopefully gonna trial these in a couple of weeks or so.

Widex’s AI Sound Assistant allows you to create a custom program for activities such as “Party” or “Family gathering,” where it recommends different program settings and you listen and choose your preference. I’m not sure how that compares to the Phonak app’s adjustability for speech and noise. I haven’t tried it yet with the Allures, but I will the next time I’m in a noisy environment.
