Hello there. I’m a beginer.

I just have revieved the dead batteries of my 2021 second hands BTE Signa motion 3nx, puting 5v charge on the induction baterys (just as if it was a car lol) and it worked OMG

i’m so proud of me…

I have followed somebodys DIY lessons, but now I wish someone could help me to find a version of the official signa logiciel, named “Connexx software 9”, to make program modifications with the Noahlink I bought on Ebay

then I’ll be able to see if the electronics of the BTE has been locked by the ancient owner… I wish I can DIY them easly :slight_smile:

I have misophonia syndrome since my childhood, and my objective is to use the hearing aids I bought on a second hand store, as a white noise generator. Witch helps a lot on my condition.
I was looking for this a long time ago. And now… I can afford all the treatments and the support that I need.

So I want to make a White noise config, with no other things : in ordr to build a discrete and socialy acepted noise generator to go to work. People blame me when I use white noise on casual airpods to go to work (because they think I’m listening a podcast)

Welcome to the forum, great your willing to give DIY a go it’s easy enough and you certainly seem more then capable, lucky you have the Noahlink wireless as that only works on the NX platform onwards as well, as you have everything else I’m sure you’ll be up and running in no time.

My Signia motion 3nx batteries have re-died lol, I’ll look at the Ebay shop if there is somebody who sell these kind of stuff.

luckly, the left BTE still working good, it only needed a recharge.

I installed Connexx 8.5.10.83, and it seems that the software is running. I had to download the version 6.5.5.3480 to make all of this working.
I was about to get up, because I had some “critical error” popup isues. Then I re-installed all the software with all the interfaces options, and it worked. Now everything is ok. PERFECT

I’m soo lucky :slight_smile:

Now I’m exploring the software…
I’ve tryed to detect my hearing aids, and the app says that the BTE needs a recent version of Connexx.

uh noooooo :frowning:

do you think that the BTE realy needs a much recent software, or can I try something with my actual config ?

Keep trying. I would love to know if there is a version 9 Connexx software available out there.

my BTE’s batteries just revieved by themself, when I woke-up this morning x)

For the curiosity, I’ve been exploring the version 6 Connexx software, until I go to sleep. There is so many interesting things, I was like “ohh what is this… and this… ohhh… does it means that… uhhh” cool

It’s like version 8 has not so many options avaible (or maybe I can’t acces those options until I connect some hearing aids)

Today I’ll be looking for somewhere I could find the amazing rare treasure of bersion 9 connexx software (maybe It will work for my Signia Motion go 3Nx )

OMG I’ve tryed the version 9.8.5.51 connexx software

This is insane, how many things we can do with this software (I think we are suposed to build up an incredibly-precise seting for the hearing confort of each ear)

I’ve seen so much interests in the stats menu… it seems that the BTE can undurstand what it hears, like (4% music, 20% voice in a quiet place… ) So I wondered : WTF is this thing monitored by IA ?

In fact, I’m just using the BTE for White noise, so I’ve not been so far in the parameters. I’ve just tryed to set-up the audio output of the white noise, so that I can use it in many situations.

I’ve cuted-off all the hearing-aid processing options, putting all the gains at 0 dB.

I’ve activated the tinnitus sound therapy at maximum level, and later I’ll be able to set-up the real output volume of the white sound with the buttons, so that it’s not dangerous. I’ve found some other tinnitus masking signals that sounds soo soft, but I finaly choosen the white sound for its large masking frequencies.

I’ve set-up the master output volume by making a fake audiogram with over-saturated points, and I have choosen the most profitable settings on the first-fit menu. Spending twenty minutes to compare the response curve of each mold type, and faking the InSitueGram parameters to reach the highest performance of the BTE. So that the 100% volume equals to the maximum sound that the BTE is capable, all along each fequency. In fact, I’ll never get over half this sound level, but I wanted it to be technicaly possible, just like my actual ear-plugs can do. Now, I’ll be able to adjust the level for each situation.

I’ve done the button set-up, so that at the white sound comes at a low level when I power-up the BTE. Now, I can change the sound level at the perfect spot, tapping left hear if the sound is too loud, tapping right hear if it’s not efficient on my misophonia trigers.

Finaly, I have my White noise generator that looks like Hearing-aids !!! Sooo lucky

Now I’ve been using the Modified BTE’s set-up in the bus, the train and the city.

The batteries has got no problems, and had a good marge when I returned to my home.

I changed the hearing aid processing level at a negative dB level, so that (it seems) it does active sound reduction.

And I modified some stuff to get lowered the noise maximum output level (because the lower level of white noise were a bit too loud, and the uper level were toooo much)

Now it’s absoluuuuuuutly perfect !

I validate this config at 1 000 000 %, as the misophonia syndrom has never been so iiiinexistant, than today. I’m so confused about being able to feel peacefullness without wearing the giga ear-muffles.
