I had an embarrassing situation in church yesterday- for no reason my hearing aids started whistling loudly. My husband nudged me and said “that is really loud!”. Luckily, with the app, I was able to just turn them both off. I wear medium domes, they were placed as far in the canal as possible, and they don’t slip out. I have had this happen in the car and other enclosed spaces, but not in a large setting before. Does anyone have any ideas? I see my audiologist in about 2 weeks, and would like to make sure this doesn’t continue happening.
Your provider should be able to provide a second program that addresses the issue. Some rooms lend themselves to feedback as can a car. There are rooms that are acoustically deficient with reverberation present.
