Which is Better BiCros: Signia or Phonak?

I’ve been wearing Phonak Audeo bi-cros for several years. My audiologist is now suggesting I switch to Signia with 8 speakers in each aid.

Any insights you can share? Thanks.

Biggest complaint I see is getting rechargeable and then the batteries only last 12 hours max. No personal experience, just going by what I see here on the forum.

Which Phonak Audio bi-cross do you have?

Thanks
As mentioned, battery life on bi-cross type aid is important.

Anyone have a clue on the “8 speakers in each aid” ??

What,Audio bi-cross is claiming 8 microphones?

Edit: I see op is taking about Signia, but still 8 of them?

I’m sorry; I should have said 8 microphones per aid, not speakers.

I currently have Phonak Audeo V90 and Phonak CROS II RIC.

I much prefer batteries vs. rechargeable, so I always have plenty of batteries with me.

Thank you.

WhiteHat: that’s exactly why I prefer batteries vs. rechargeable.

Yes, that’s what the Audiologist told me. There is an app that lets a user identify specific mic direction to enhance hearing in different environments. I haven’t seen any brochures or materials nor have I tried the Signia yet. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more.

UPDATE: I went to see a different audiologist (actually a Hearing Instrument Specialist) and she strongly recommended that I do a trial of the rechargeable Resound NX960S-DRWC and Resound CX160S-DRWC CROS system. I’ll do the trial in January and keep everyone apprised.

The other option she recommended is Phonak. The Resound was a little less expensive.

Stay tuned.

Resound Nexia has the latest LE Audio.

Is that what you’ve chosen?

Yes, that is what I will be getting in early January.
