Which hearing aids will work with my Pixel phone?

Want some good hearing aids, but also want to interface with my Android phone. Currently, that is an original Pixel, which is no longer supported by Google as of the last two days. I was thinking that maybe I should upgrade to the new Pixel 4. Was wondering if the HA apps will be able to work with something that new… Don’t yet know what brand of HA I will finally purchase. On the other hand, maybe I should just stay with what I have. But I have already see some standard Google apps, i.e Googlke clock app, unable to work on my original Pixel Any advice?

I just got the Costco KS9s today and they paired easily with my Pixel 2 XL. It’s just standard Bluetooth so I see no reason why they wouldn’t work with your original Pixel. Check out this super long thread: Costco Kirkland Signature 9.0 (Product Information)

May be more info than you want, but there are several facets of phone compatibility.

  1. If by “interface,” you mean being able to interact with an app that will offer some control over the phone, most modern aids would offer that, even with your Pixel. Be sure to check for compatibility however to make sure.

  2. If you mean being able to stream directly to the phone, then options are limited. Your current Pixel should work with Phonak Marvel (and somewhat defeatured Costco’s Kirkland Signature 9 (KS9). If you upgraded to Pixel 4, those should work as well as Resound Quattro

  3. A further refinement in compatibility is that HA manufacturers now have multiple apps and you need to make sure you get the right app for the hearing aid and confirm that it’s compatible with phone. I doubt you’d have much issue with app compatibility since I think you’re on Android 10?

I went to the Phonak website and looked at the list of phones that work with the Marvels to see what it had to say about my LG Phoenix 2, which is a pretty inexpensive AT&T phone that I have working as a Tracfone. The Phonak list said yes, and sure enough, it works fine with my KS9s. Having to spend a bunch for a phone to work with the KS9s would have stopped me from trying them.
