What's with the crazy hearing aid pricing differences in Costco versus chain hearing clinics?

Sorry, just saw your message. I didn’t know anything beforehand so I just went with my audiologist’s recommendation - he said the Philips were known for natural sound and he tends to have fewer people coming back with problems than with the Jabra. I do wish I’d had the opportunity to test both and see which I preferred, particularly since they’re my first set of aids and I didn’t really know what to expect. From what I read on this forum, both are supposed to be almost equally good and it does come down to personal preference, though how you’re supposed to form a preference if you can’t trial both, I don’t know. I went with rechargeables and they do last me a full day easily. If you go for the Philips and like music, it’s worth installing the phone app so you can fiddle around with the graphic equalizer type thing for highs, mids and lows, and it’s also worth asking the audiologist to give you the music program (you can have 4 different programs available as presets on your aids for different situations, like speech in noise, music, and so on).
PS I went to Blair Towers and can give you the name of the audiologist if you’re going to the same store.

Thank you so much :relaxed: went to Merivale and Jaime was wonderful.
