What is your setup to watch TV ? (dual audio output)

That’s the one! Thanks. And this has been mentioned here before too. lol
So @kov insert that between the NVidia and the soundbar. Then use a TVC out of that. The soundbar volume can control the room volume. The TVC and the aids will have their own volume. There could be some lipsync lag that you might need to adjust in the NVidia and find a balance point between the soundbar and the aids and the final display.

Yeah, the audio delivery to our hearing aids is never real easy.

I have the TV connector. I also use the RogerOn.

Problem is if the audio is being streamed as 5.1 or two channel or some version of that it’ll work through the TV connector. But if you have object based audio, such as Atmos, the TV streamer does not work. For that I need to use the RogerOn to enhance the sound to my hearing aids. I use a splitter off the Apple TV+ box to plug the TV Connector in. This is because my TV will not send dual audio.

Basically, it’s a mess.

The Phonak V2 TVC (the one with buttons) is the one that will work with Dolby Digital variants. 1.1 or 1 will not.
I guess I have it good. My tv is basically the center of my system as it has speaker outs, sub out and other audio outs. Simply a 2.1 on its own. The volume does not affect the optical. Some tv’s do.

There’s also a media cable you can use with Roger On going from 3.5mm (analog) audio jack to the usb-c port on the bottom of the Roger. Eliminates some of the ambient noise.

Not sure I follow white hat? Wouldn’t that be the same as using the RogerOn base?

OK whoa! I never even thought of that one. Would the Roger mic need to be charged in its base, then removed, and the media cable then plugged into the bottom of the Roger mic?

Me 'n platypus wanna know. And we wanna know NOW.

Thank you ! I will try this as soon as I can.

Yes, this “media” cable has a 3.5mm “headphone jack” type plug. When you plug it in, you Roger displays a music note symbol and your aids get whatever comes over that wire. Stereo works. When it (stereo) quits i reset the Roger. No dock needed. I’ve only been able to get them through my audiology dept. You’ll see a thousand that look right in stores & etc online, but they don’t work. They are designed to take music from your phone or other music playing device and inject it into the aux port on a car or home audio system. You need the audio to travel in the other direction. (They do d2a, and you need a2d).

I’ve asked the tech at my audiologist what the part number or other unique identifier is so you can inquire about getting one.

OK, so it looks like this cable supports both power AND audio? USB-C on one end would plug into the bottom of my Roger mic remote; headphone jack on other end is plugged into aux port on the back of the TV (or car, home audio system. Did I get that right?

Sorry @kov a little sidebar going here.
This has been quite an eye opener @WhiteHat . That is a flexible piece of kit.
I found this:

My TV sends to speakers and Audio Out simultaneously. The problem for me is that Jabra’s are locked to their HW. They don’t work with other Bluetooth transmitters.

Interesting! Is this a new tech trend? Does that mean if you pair + connect your aids you don’t even NEED a TV Connector or Roger mic?
Wow. This is what I’d like at home!

My TV does this and seems to compensate for Bluetooth latency quite well. Unfortunately, I don’t have Phonak so listening through earbuds is my only option.

Bluetooth introduces the possibility of lag/lipsync issues. Until heading aids add the aptx codec their could be lag.
Maybe auracast fixes the lag issue. Not sure.
I don’t get any lag with my TVC when connected to the tv output. I can sometimes get a bit of an echo if I connect it to an output device further up the stream though.
