Update to Comparison between Jabra 20s and 30s

I have been wearing my Jabra Enhanced Pro 30s since May 18th. Here’s my impressions between the Enhanced Pro 20s which I wore since December 2024.

  1. The sound quality is more natural sounding. The 20s sounded more shrill.
  2. The background noise reduction is much better. My test restaurant is Texas Roadhouse, which is an extremely noisy place. When I walked inside my hearing aid app was in the “All Around” mode. The noise level was the usual very loud level. When we were seated, I switched to the “Hear in Noise” mode and the background noise reduction was amazing compared to the 20s. However, I could hear and understand my wife, my daughter, and the waitress very clearly.
  3. While wearing them in other less challenging noisy environments the noise reduction is a big improvement over the 20s. I was impressed with the improvement.

It still would be nice to see your audiogram.

The next time I go to Costco, I will try to remember to ask for my audiogram.

I requesed my updated audiogram last time I was in, but we both forgot. A few days later it showed up in the mail. My Costco fitter went above and beyond.

You could ask to have it emailed to you

I guess I could. However, I don’t want to bother them when I can just pick it up the next time I’m in the store.

I am scheduled to get my Jabra Enhanced Pro 30s this Friday. I had the 20s, they were great in “All around” mode and the noise reduction was good too. But I found that in a noisy restaurant it was still a little difficult to make out some voices.

Last week I went to the noisiest restaurant I know, Texas Roadhouse. I have gone there wearing my Jabra 20s and found the noise reduction to be fair. However, when I walked in the restaurant was the usual crazy background noise. After sitting down at the table, I switched to hearing in noise, and was shocked to discover how much the noise was reduced and I could easily hear my wife, my adult daughter, and our waitress.

Does the “AI” circuit kick in whenever you go switch to the “noise” program?

IDK I assume it does. Otherwise, how would the hearing aids know it’s noisy.
