Unitron aids with FM link to other ear

I have partial hearing loss in left ear, profound loss in right ear.
My Audi is proposing fitting me with Unitron Aids with an FM link to an aid on the other ear, to give me the ability to hear better on right side. I do quite a bit of ballroom dancing and when dancing the lady is always on the right side.

I am going to give it a try, my question is this: Will this setup enable me to also use other FM devices such as a FM link to my TV?

Thanks in advance,
Graham Daniell

i think so… do you have a unilateral loss?

I don’t think Unitron’s products would be directly compatible with FM systems. I think you would need an FM boot. Here is a brochure that tells more about their BICROS setup:

You should be able to get a telecoil in the aid, which could then be hooked up to the TV with a loop system or TV listening system. Sennheiser makes one that will send the TV signal to the tcoil in the hearing aid, no headset required ( http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite/productdetail.asp?transid=USSET810S/MKE or http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite/productdetail.asp?transid=009373 )
