Tympanometry Testing

What are the possible results from Acoustic Immittance (tympanometry) testing. How do these results relate to pure tone results on the audiogram?

Middle ear works fine / middle ear does not work fine.

Rough results.
Combined with audiogram and I guess other tests helps to assess the reason for hearing loss, eg if it’s fine, then it’s sensorineural, if it’s not fine then more investigation is required, one overall conclusion might be ‘conductive loss’ or ‘mixed loss’ or who knows what.
