I’m a new hearing aid user, but have used TV ears for listening to TV for years. I thought the hearing aids would allow me to ditch the TV ears, but so far the TV ears are preferable. I have KS7s. They have a TV program that I’ve had tweaked to include a more narrowly directed mike and an increased volume compared to the other programs. It works most of the time, but if my wife coughs, it amplifies the cough to pretty distracting levels. Also, the dynamic range of the TV programs requires fairly frequent volume changes. The smart phone app is a little cumbersome for making frequent volume changes. The TV ears have a very quick and easy to use volume control. Curious if any of you have any better solutions for TV? If I went with a streaming device, would I have separate volume control over the streamed TV audio and ambient sounds? Thanks. Glad to have the forum back up and running.
