NOTE: I have the Starkey Remote Mic+.
I was super excited to find out that work was upgrading our laptops to Windows 11, because I was hoping that my 3 month old laptop was old enough to take advantage of the “Use Bluetooth LE Audio when available” option in the Settings.
Lo and behold, the setting showed up, indicating my laptop supports it. I found the instructions for pairing, and crossed my fingers.
Nope. Windows 11 can see them to pair (they show up as “my last name HAs” twice in the Add a device pairing window), but they can never connect.
I did a little more research, and the Starkey Pro website indicates that only Edge AI hearing aids are compatible with Windows devices.
Which is also available on this URL (all the way down at the bottom of the page): https://www.starkeypro.com/compatibility
It would have been so nice to not have to use the Remote Mic+ or a bone conduction headset (I use the Shokz OpenMeet, because I’m in conference calls/meetings 70-80% of my day).
I’ll keep checking and maybe some day my HAs will pair with Windows, though it’s not likely until I get my next set. Since I"m only 7 months into my first HAs, that won’t be any time soon.
