South African doctor cures Deafness-partly true

#1

The world’s first surgical procedure using 3D printed middle ear bones. The patient suffered hearing loss as a result of a car accident that damaged his inner ear.

I bet it won’t be affordable for normal people.

Looking around the web, it is real enough but it is basically an improved stapedectomy.

So basically usual science reporting, take a small improvement and make it sound like a miracle cure.

When I first read the heading of this thread I thought it said
“South African doctor curses Deafness”

Half blind AND hard of hearing!
I laughed twice. Once for what I first thought and again at myself.

Just let my wife look at the title briefly and asked here what she read. After complaining that I shouldn’t have pulled it away so fast, she said: “South-African doctor curses…”

So I am speculating whether our subconscious fills in witch-doctor whenever it is preceded by African.

LOL! One could also read this as the good doc who cured the condition called “Deafness-partly” as opposed my own hereditary condition, “Deafness-absolutely”!

How I WISH that 3D could replicate the HAIRS in my ear - that bald condition I have called sensorineural hearing loss. Slap that wig down there and let’s get hearing!
