Roger Select iN battery life

I am using the Roger SelectIN with the Audeo M90-13T and so far I am only managing to get about 4 hours from a full charge. My usage is via audio jack input.

Your thoughts please?

Per Phonak datasheet it’s supposed to be 8 hrs. If you bought it new, I’d be tempted to try to exchange it.

I was hoping that I am doing something wrong instead of it being faulty!! Bought at the same time as the Marvels.

@RogerPM Can you comment on Roger Select iN battery life? Specs say 8 hrs. OP is only getting 4 hrs.

My usage is via audio jack input.

Are you using it for streaming or TV connect? In the base? If so, why not use the USB charging. I get at least 8 hours using the mics.

For streaming and yes, in the base, with 3.5mm jack.

So far, to my surprise, I got only about 4 hours. I have now fully charged it for tomorrow so we’ll see … if I get 4 hours tomorrow then I am asking for an exchange.

Yes, as per the datasheet 4 hours is indeed too short for a new device. I cannot think of any reasonable user error so it could be a faulty device. I’d recommend getting in contact with the HCP.

Thank you

Curious, if you use it as a table mic would you get 8 hours. If so, there is nothing wrong with the device.

What are you streaming and from what? While the select is good for streaming there are $15 BT dongles that work well too. If you are using the base, can’t you connect the USB power.

Streaming from my laptop, 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack, a mixture of music and video calls throughout the day.

I still don’t get it.
Does your laptop have bluetooth? If so, you don’t need to use select.
Or, why not connect select base to usb on laptop.
Doubt anything wrong w Select, streaming just eats battery.

The Select is new and having got it during lockdown and with me shielding, I haven’t had much opportunity to test it while socialising or in an office environment. I have a pair of Roger Table Mic (1st generation) which I have been using for streaming (and very happy with the battery life of 20 hours) but thought I need to use the Select more to familiarise myself with it but also ensure it is working properly. If it is faulty, then I’d rather exchange it!

How do you change the lithium battery in Select iN

Whats the serial number of your select

You give it to your fitter to send it to phonak to replace it. No clue about the price though.
