Rexton Trax 42 "Standard" Program Parameters

Tomorrow, I will pick up my new Rexton Trax 42’s at Costco. I have used Oticon instruments for the last 10 years. The Trax 42’s can have up to 6 programs set up in them (my Oticons only have a possibility of 4 programs). There are some prepackaged programs that can be activated. They are

  1. Automatic
  2. Noise/Party
  3. Focus 360
  4. Television
  5. Music
  6. Outdoor/Traffic
  7. Telephone
  8. Telecoil (multiple ones)
Does anyone have any information about the parameters that are used for programs 2 through 8? I want to know how they differ in frequency response, directionality, etc. I asked one of the Costco people about this when I set up the purchase, but they did not have any printed, or otherwise, information about this.

I tried calling Rexton today and got to the audiology line, but the person I talked to was not too helpful – they didn’t have anything the could send to me that described these programs.

I understand that the Automatic program is very capable and should cover most situations, but I live about 1-1/2 hours from Costco, so I plan on having the hearing instrument specialist (HIS) install programs 1 through 6 so that I can compare their performance against the Automatic program. If I had more specific information about the individual program parameters, I could be more intelligent when I talk to the HIS at a return visit for adjustments.
