Rexton Bi-Core My own voice

Im a new hearing aid user and went the Costco route to get the biggest bang for the buck. I went with the Rexton’s due to the latest tech, size, portable battery case and they sound very natural. But I have an issue that the Costco techs can’t seem to get rid of. My problem is that my voice is garbled/ distorted/ reverbed. On my last visit, the tech lowered my low-end frequencies but now things seem a bit quieter for me now. Anyone else had a similar issue with any other brand hearing aids and what was the fix if there is one

You only hear the distortion when the did are in?
I have nerve damage in my left ear. So any sound that comes in from the left is distorted.
My own voice is distorted to me because of this.
I can notice it without my did but it is not as noticeable.
Drove me nuts trying to figure out what was going on when I first got my aids.

Yes only when they are in. I had other hearing aids and my voice just sounded mechanical and those hearing aids were the Rexton M core IX ItE ,the problem with those were that they died on me three times
