Hey,

I was wondering if anyone else out there has a hereditry reverse cookie bite hearing loss, and if they experiance flucturating hearing, and difficulty wearing hearing aids, I have baffled every doctor I have seen to date, as they can’t find any problems with my ears at all… except a little noise damage in recent years… they did find some lesions on the brain, but even a top neurogolist doesnt understand them…

I’m just looking for similar ppl, as not many ppl seem to understand why I cant hear the tv at all, but cant stand it being turned up due to some of the high frequencies, which i find ear piercing, also my audioloigst cant understand why i cant hear any of the hearing test, but cant stand loud noises… I would love to hear from other ppl with a similar problem, with any tips, or even just to talk…

hi,

i have the exact same condition as you. reverse cookie bite and fluctuating hearing. Dont know the cause.
Did you find an answer for the cause of this loss?
I am being recommended baha system as my bone conduction is okay.

thanks,
rusty

Yes…My problem is similar. It’s very frustrating and can cause a lot of stress.
Does anyone else in your family have the same type of loss? It is usually hereditary.
