Resound Smart fit 1.9 Resound One gain handles

I have Enzo Q7 aids. As you know there is no 750 and 1.5K EQ handle in the US software. Just to be clear, if I install the UK version, will I have all 17 EQ points? Thanks in advance

@menglxs might know. I’ve tagged him/her to let them know.

You will get 14 EQ points for ENZO Q7 if you install the UK version SmartFit,

This the 17 points you will get if you install China version SmartFit.

Is there an advantage to having more points? And where can you get the Chinese or UK version? I have the US version…

I would venture by changing the Windows region settings in either the Windows Control Panel or the new Windows settings (Time and Language in Win11, don’t have a Win10 computer running at the moment to check for that OS) that would determine what regional/language version of Smart Fit is used when you install/reinstall Smart Fit. Just a suggestion - when you look in the program materials, it seems that the various versions for different locales are already part of the material in a Smart Fit download and set up.

Perhaps the term “version” is misleading, but you can select different countries when installing SmartFit, which represent different sales markets.

It is important to note that selecting a different country does not force a change in the language of the software, but you may get a different number of EQ points, or you may not see certain hearing aid models in smartfit.

Thank you! I will check that out.

There is another angle here. You may well be able to select the number of gain handles in SmartFit. I can see three different number options in the main gain screen in the UK install.

But if you are aiming to adjust hearing aids that were already set up by an audiologist, then I think you will find you are stuck with the number he/she chose, unless you do a whole new fitting (which is fine to do if you know what you are doing).

I’ve done an in situ a couple times to try it out and had good results. Had a recent drop and waiting on molds to try again. I also believe I found out how to input an audiogram directly, although that’s not as easy…

Yes it’s quite straightforward to input a new audiogram directly into SmartFit, but if you want the fitting to be based on that rather than the older one stored in the hearing aids, you have to tell SmartFit to recalculate using the new audiogram.
