whatâs the pick up range for Roger Pen? I am SSD and interested to get one for myself. It says 20 meters? that far?
I think the transmission range could be 20 meters. I donât believe the mic is that sensitive.
I did some indoor dog training type stuff in some large rooms. The instructors hung it around their neck and went on with their course which involved people and dogs ârunningâ around the room. I could hear most of their comments with the exception of the occasional cut out when a body passed between me and the instructor.
I picked mine up off of eBay. I got the pen, the charger/stand and Roger X.
I found the Roger to be useless outside if the person wearing it turns around due to this situation where the signal canât pass through the body.

I think you are right. The 20m on their website might refer to wireless streaming range rather than microphone pick up range.

It all depends on oneâs perspective.
I really couldnât hear what was being said with just hearing aids.
Being able to pick up (hear) >96% let me feel like I was an active participant. My guess is that even those that could hear might have missed a few words here and there if the instructor was facing away from them.
I felt I got my moneys worth i.e. a sub $200 CAD investment on used equipment.
