Reset vs hard reset. What are the consequences of each?

Hi everyone

I have Resound Linx Quattro 961 rechargeable hearing aids, they are 5 years old and are 1 year outside their warranty period.

I have been experiencing vibrations in the left hearing aid following the reciever wire replacement 3 weeks ago and a sudden loss of bluetooth connectivity to the right hearing aid from my tv streamer and smartphone last night
.
I have been asking for advice here and on other hearing groups and some of the comments suggested that carrying out a 30 second hard reset on both hearing aids could be beneficial.

Its my responsibility of course but the bluetooth connectivity issue occurred after the hard reset.

Does a hard reset erase all the programming that my former audiologist carried out?
Have I wiped my hearing aids?

These kinds of resets usually wipe out data like device pairings and user configured settings. I wouldn’t think you could wipe out the fitting data without the fitting software and the hardware to connect.

No it’s not possible to wipe the settings like this, that could only be done through the software, but I’d look into just a reboot of the the tv streamer and HAs whenever it happens, also it’s probably time for an update on these, Costco has some pretty good deals available.
