Regular or rechargeable batteries, what’s are your preferences?

From reading, it appears you have to take the rechargeable batteries out of the HAs to charge. Do any HAs have the ability to recharge without taking them out?

The 312 size batteries don’t always last a day. If you want rechargeable, I’d go with a size 13 device. They all have a device that charges them overnight – not in use.

I prefer the disposable batteries. Fairly inexpensive, just carry spares and replace them whenever they die. It takes about 3 minutes to replace a set of disposable batteries. If you decide to go with rechargeable batteries, you will want to carry some disposable batteries with you for those days when the rechargeable batteries die before your day is done.

depends on aid and battery size… 312 maybe, 13 for sure Siemans, Rexton and the Trax at Costco you do not remove thebattery.

So rechargeables may not last a day? (like cell phones?) Where as I’ve read regular last for several days to a week?

Seems I’d be a regular type of guy.

With my aids I get 4 1/2 days if I stream a couple of hours a day. Without streaming I will get up to 6 days. I buy my batteries at Costco and get 40 for $8.99 plus tax

I don’t stream anything and my batteries usually last for about 8 days. Batteries are so inexpensive rechargeables are not even a consideration for me.

Have any of you guys heard about new type of rechargeable batteries, silver-zinc?
There’s an article in Hearing Review. I read they can be used instead of zinc-air batteries in regular HA’s. Is it true?
Anybody heard more about it?

Silver-zinc batteries produce an 1.6 V so they can burnout any hearing aid. Those article in Hearing Review say that it will be a special battery door replacement for use with these batteries.

Thanks for clarifying. Well, we’ll just have to wait and see probably until 2016.
