Recent Stapedectomy - Hearing Quality v Improved “Volume”

Doc and Audiologist seem focused on hearing test improvement, but sound quality is my concern. In conversational environment, voices sound like they just sucked helium, high, cartoonish. In noisy environment, the “improved hearing” is just noise and static, sort of like in between stations on an AM radio.

My physicians have gone from saying improvements takes weeks (months) to now saying give it a year. (Surgery was just 5 weeks ago)

Would love to hear from others who were patient and saw continued improvement or suggestions for HE’s that might be able to address quality v volume issues.
