Handles I believe your saying, or is it channels.
I think 12 channels are more than enough for most losses.
I was once told by a fitter that even three channels were enough for my loss.

I gave up on Phonak. I’m much happier with Oticon.
I wore Oticon Xceed 1 UP Aids for over a year but I’ve been given Oticon Xceed Play 1 UP Aids now. Happy with them. Altho I don’t hear much but I definitely pick up more with Oticon over Phonak.

I thought of getting the Xceeds but they are long overdue for replacement. I went with Phonak because of newer technologies. Xceeds are 6 yrs old technology.

They are older technology but I’m now of an age where I don’t mind not having the latest technology.
I have a very old iPhone as well!
