Phonak Naida Review/Rant/Fustrations LoL

Someone said in another forum

One of the adjustments that audiologists seem not to be aware of is to increase the TK (the microphone sensitivity) of the Naidas. Raising them 5-10 dB above the default often really helps squelch ambient noise and can really help with clarity. Doing it too much though can make it feel like you’re muffling voices - so around: 300 Hz - 45 dB, 800 Hz - 35-40 dB, 1500 Hz 30-35 dB and the rest between 30-35 dB. Leaving it at default mode leaves the aids VERY noisy!

What is your opinion?

I’m thinking of buying Phonak Naida Q50 on Ebay. Is this advisable?

If you get them cheap and are a self-programmer, they should be quite serviceable. If your problem includes lots of noisy situations, they might be a bit light in features.
