Is that done from the “Audibility Fine Tuning” tab?
I envy you, you have an audiologist who cares about you feeling comfortable listening with your hearing aids.
Interesting, thanks for clarifying that point.
That’s why I switched away from Costco. Sometimes you do get what you pay for…
There are also expensive IEMs with multiple receivers, some in dynamic driver technology for bass, some as balanced armature for mids and highs.
I don’t want to give up on my Naida Limited 30 UP. I managed to boost the bass, giving my music a bit of bass, using a third-party app, but I don’t want to have to rely on that app every time I listen to music.
I mentioned IEMs only for showing an example of technology. They aren’t intended to function as hearing aids.
What’s your Word Recognition Score (WRS) in quiet?
I don’t know what you’re referring to. But my speech therapy is this:
With maximum phonemic discrimination of 0% to 100 dB in the right ear and 20% to 100 dB in the left ear
My hearing is very strange. Is it because my ears have been trained by listening to music constantly since I was little?
When I say I can still hear music, I mean I use these Samsung headphones.
Obviously, I have to turn it up to 80% volume on my phone, and they have bass. I really enjoy music with them.
Guys, I found a temporary solution: a third-party app that boosts the bass in music and sounds great when streaming via Bluetooth. It’s called Poweramp Equalizer.

But it only works with what is transmitted from the cell phone. I have not found a temporary solution for other sound sources.
It’s a shame I have to resort to third-party apps for temporary solutions.
The irony is that in another post, I was recommended Phonak ActiveVent Receivers. According to this video, it makes perfect sense and is another solution, but they are not compatible with the Naida Lumity UP BTE.
How to Get Better Quality Music with Hearing Aids | Phonak ActiveVent Receivers
I say this ironically, because how could the solution be to buy Phonak ActiveVent Receivers when third-party software like Poweramp Equalizer makes music streamed via BT have great bass and sound beautiful?
An equivalent would be to manually temporarily block the vents in your molds. That’s all activevents do, when streaming or in loud noise it locks the vents.
WH
I use a new earmold type “full shell”. In none of them I had the Venting orifice.
My molds are completely closed. I have nothing to close.
Then no advantage whatsoever for activevent for you!
WH
You have too severe hearing loss for ActiveVent. I am also not eligible for that solution.
I found 2 temporary workarounds to improve music streaming via Bluetooth.
