I have tried a few apps for my Android phone while wearing my Phonak Marvel devices so that I would hear who’s calling before answering the phone.
It did not work with two different apps. After having thought about it, I think the simple reason is that the ringing sound in my hearing aids is specifically from the Marvel device, and it has nothing to do with the phone. So that means if the phone is ringing, all other audio sound is being blocked by the hearing aids. One solution would be to stop the phone from sending the “phone is calling” status to the hearing aids and instead would send the audio with the spoken caller id message.
I wonder whether anyone has another idea how to get it done?
