Not sure where you got that info? But my two pairs of Lumity Life aids EACH had to be licensed to SEPARATE Roger ON iN devices. Then, those same aids were cross-licensed to the 2 Rogers. That way, no matter which pair of Life aids I’m wearing, they’ll work with either of my two Rogers.
Today, I put on the loaner aids my audi is letting me use. I tried using these with EITHER of my Roger ON iN devices, and … no surprise, it doesn’t work. That’s cuz I don’t have the license from the Rogers on THESE loaners.
Yes, there’s a convoluted, 5-min workaround to remove the license from current aids, then xfer Roger license on to it, and yada yada, but I just don’t have time for that. I want to put the aids IN, and be streaming with cell phone or Roger immediately.
I wish Phonak weren’t about the MONEY they make off us. No trade-ins for even aids of 1.5 yrs; no universal Roger ON iN for my multiple pairs of Marvel & Life aids. They know that if they only sell rechargeables for NEW models (the ones most folks want) that don’t give us even 24 hrs of battery time we’ll be forced (as I was) to BUY a redundant 2nd pair of rechargeable aids. Yeah, I coulda just used my 13-battery Marvels as “backup” but they don’t have the same settings OR program lineup. That’s cuz Phonak is always changing things up and adding features. That’s a good thing, but when it comes to accessories to use with these aids, it really should be UNIVERSAL to all Phonak aids, and not unique to each and every single pair of them.
Hope someone from Phonak product development ever reads these posts.
