@Confused for the typing sounds on android go into settings/sounds/ advanced and you can turn off the keyboard sounds. I turned off all the other sounds as well. Turning off all but the most important notification sounds helps as well. I only have sounds for phone calls and text messages.

Zebras, I have searched high and low for ‘Media and Contacts’ which is where searches tell me to go to turn it off. I cannot find it!

I finally found it! Media and Contacts can only be accessed through Facebook on a mobile/cell. On an iPhone, go to Facebook and click the 3 bars bottom right. Scroll down to Settings. Scroll to bottom and under ‘Media and Contact’ click ‘Sounds’. Turn off ‘In-app sound’

For the keyboard clicks - go to
Settings > sounds and Haptics > Keyboard Clicks.
Turn that off and then when you type you will not hear clicking as you type on the keyboard.
You will need to scroll down to find ‘keyboard clicks’. Hope this helps.

I am still getting some annoying sounds on my iPhone with Messenger. Back to working on it

Thank you but I have never had keyboard clicks set on.

Un-clicking the bottom bit helped me with this issue on messenger.

I have similar problems with my Phonak Marvel HA. Phonak’s recommended solutions are as mentioned above. These compromise the use of your HA’s.
Turning off the audio disconnects my hearing aids from being able to talk on the phone.
Turning off media disconnected my ability to stream music and lectures to my hearing aids.
This is a software problem that Phonak has been aware of for some time. It is mentioned in social media.

The above recommended actions are to turn off annoying notifications only.

Annoying or otherwise, any notification causes the Phonak Marvels to revert to Autosense.

I am still struggling with these settings. Also, my HA’s do not always connect to Bluetooth so sometimes I am not talking to people when they call and have to run for my phone to answer.
Phonak really do need to make detailed YouTube videos that we can follow and ask for help if necessary.

My 312 batteries have been in 5 days and on the morning of the 6th day I started getting loud crackling and a sound like ‘choo choo’. I put new ones in and the sounds stopped. I have read nothing about this - is this the sound I should expect when the battery is low? Phonak describes two beeps when they are low.

Has anyone else experiences this?

Yes, that is your aids telling you the battery is low, the choo choo sound.

I have Phonak B90 which produce a different sound to my Phonak M50 when the battery is dying. The choo sound is definitely the battery on the Marvel. Not sure about Paradise as I haven’t tried them.

Thank you Zebras. Do you every get crackling?

No crackling at all.

Okay, I will talk to my audiologist to see what it means. Some people are saying that the HA’s need to be replaced. I will get back to you.

Thanks

Loud crackling again yesterday after 4 days of new batteries.
I put new ones in and the crackling stopped.

My left one has loud crackling and right one choo when the battery is low !

You can adjust all these things in Setting, either under Sound or Notification. You need to get familiar with your phone, so that your phone and hearing aids can become best friends.
