Phonak Audeo Infinio phone calls mic

Hi, is there a way to block my hearing aid mic while making a phone call? I would like to make phone calls, hear the other person that I’m calling, but I don’t want to hear myself and of course I want the other person to hear me. On Target, I set the mic mute button, but it doesn’t work for phone calls. Anyway, is there a way around this, maybe with an iPhone setting? Thanks

It’s should work on calls, it’s called microphone attenuation,on older models from Phonak there’s 2 Bluetooth programs for streaming, one can be used for calls, media and another one, right click on them to the options, and them drop the slider for microphones.

Hi tenkan, thanks for the info. Went to the streaming programs, then to the
Phone call + mic, you can’t right-click it, but there’s an arrow that opens a menu from which you can go to the program options and one of them is
Hearing Aid Microphone.
But you can’t mute it, it only says that you can lower it to a maximum of 6 Decibels.
Thanks

Oh so they have changed it again, well 6db is not enough, I thought 10 was max, well I think you’ll have to accept that then unfortunately.

I don’t foresee being able to switch to phone mics until they enable LE audio at a minimum.

Two ways to help your issue.

  1. Raise the phone volume which you likely have.

  2. Ask your audiologist to adjust the Phone Call + Mic program to help reduce background noise.

I realise this doesn’t help with the person who you are calling regarding picking up background noise.
