Philips 9050 firmware update problem?

My Philips Hearsuite updated from 2024.2 to 2025.1 and said a firmware update to my 9050s was available. So I completed the update to the firmware and it was indicated as successful. As a result Hearsuite now detects the has but will not continue. Also only one ha will pair with Hearlink and all control via the ha button is lost. The has seem to work ok but without any control. Has anyone any idea what has happened?

My audiologist told me the last time my INTENT1 aids were updated that the update wipes out the fitting setting and he had to reload my setup from backups he had. The INTENT aids has the same processor as the 9050, at least that is my understand.

Sorry, all I have are some vague recollections to contribute, but in case it gives you a clue… My last update (the one you’ve just done) went perfectly. The one before that gave me some anxious moments. My recollection is that at one point in the process I had two left hearing aids. I had to inform the right aid of its misapprehension in Hearsuite. I can’t remember exactly how or where.

I do remember that I had to disconnect and reconnect the aids a few times. Once you’ve got both aids connected the loss of button control should take care of itself. You’ll be asked whether to use the programming from the aids or whatever Hearsuite session you’ve selected. You choose the latter. The firmware update resets the aids and that may be why the button doesn’t work.

Yeah very strange behaviour indeed, Let us know how you get on.

Costco returning has to Philips. Others have reported firmware update problems

  • Hi, I just did the same procedure and “bricked” my 9050s into both LHS aids where only one connects and controls are disabled.

  • Now how to roll back to operational firmware…

  • any ideas?

  • Return to Costco to fix?

Uh that sounds weird, are you using Hearsuite or through the App? But as I’ve always said to everyone, don’t update firmware unless it’s absolutely necessary.
