Really, you and your hearing care pros are the only ones that can decide. The features that are removed as you go down are those that would help you hear people in difficult situations. If you are mostly home alone, then a less capable aid may be enough. If you need to be able to hear in public situations, stores, restaurants, complicated noise environments, etc, these are the conditions where the higher functions would come into play.
The skill of your HCP to adjust and fit your aids to you are more important than which version of technology you select.
