Oticon xceed 2 review

Might be to do with Speech Rescue?

Try changing it.

this is not a problem with Speech Rescue, but Laura need to increase the level of the middle sounds and lower the highs.

Could well be if set too strong.

Echo can be an issue with the Phonak SoundRecover 2 so Speech Rescue could be adjusted TO SEE IF IT WOULD HELP!!

If Speech Rescue is activated, lowering the highs won’t really work due to Speech Rescue.

OK Zebry, I will not argue, SpechRescue does not echo in my xceed1, personally, I don’t get any benefit from SpeechRescue, the echo was caused by high sounds, but I emphasize that it was my case.

My experience with Oticon Xceed 2 UP is bad after 3 months. I hope you didn’t buy these hearing aids. Because I have the same problem with strange sounds. Like metallic or double or whistling sounds. Really annoying. My audiologist thought about the feedback problem. I have quite a hearing loss. But I never had this before. So I decide to return the Oticon. Because I tried 3 times new earmolds. It doesn’t help. I tested it with older Phonak Naida hearing aids. Nothing to hear on these hearing aids. So I want new model Phonak Naida.

Hi Dil,

Okay. Before anybody can say anything useful we need a bit more information.

What is your hearing loss exactly?

Have you worn hearing aids for a long time? What were your previous hearing aids?

Were these hearing aids prescribed on a national health service of your country or via a private audiologist?

Is your audiologist experienced? Did you have your hearing aids calibrated in any way? Like real ear measurement.

The Oticon Xceed is an exceptional aid. It is highly probable you just have fitting issues.

These sounds was Speech Rescue, frequency lowering feature.

Hi Glucas,
My hearing loss is quite low. I was born with it. I have worn Oticon and Resound in the past. I’m quite new here and I do not know how to upload an audiogram. First the national health service offers me Phonak hearing aids and then my audiologist offers me Oticon. Yes, I think he has experience but I am not sure. Yes, he calibrated the hearing aids. No, I have no problems with the fit because the earmolds are fine. The other audiologist in the hospital adjusted them but the interference remains.

The sounds were still there. Even if speech rescue was off or on.
