I can provide it at almost half of this price in Turkey
Hi folks!
I have tried the Phonak Paradise but turned them down due to the classic BT which was already discussed in various threads.
Now I am trying Oticon More1 and totally happy.
To those of you who want to have a longer lasting battery during a full day or on the move I can only advice to just buy a second set of rechargeable batteries and have them with you.
Pretty cheap and my audi showed me how to change them in a sec.
Best,
Frank
What’s wrong with classic BT?
Disruptive audio connection while streaming or during phone calls or having teams conferences.
I couldn’t even listen to a podcast with the phone in my frontpocket without multiple short interruptions per minute.
Tested with Android and iPhone, both results identically bad.
Don’t have that with More+iPhone and I guess MFi is just more stable here. Which I read also in various threads here and made me trying the More.
BTW the second annoying thing with Paradise were answering phone calls. The idea is pretty cool that you could do that hands-free using the micro of the HA. BUT it just doesn’t work in real life environments as it gets totally annoying for the person you are talking to because all background noise are better to hear than your voice…
Don’t have any of the problems you have mentioned and I use classic BT with the KS9/white label marvel.
Strange. I connect to my phone - a Samsung S71/My PC without any trouble.
please show your audiogram
@Blacky yes that is correct.
Since yesterday I started wearing Oticon More 1. So far, More seemed like a noticeable improvement over Opn1, but I didn’t feel the WOW effect. In general, I would say that if you have Opn or Opn S and you are happy with them, you should not rush and buy the promoted More. But if you have neither opn 1 nor opn S, then you should consider buying More
Same here, been using Oticon More for a while now, didn’t notice much improvement. The good thing is that is not worse than the Opn1. Definitely should consider the Oticon More if you’ve been wearing Oticon hearing aid. You do have to charge this every night, I have about 25 to 35% battery left after a day of used.
I agree with that statement. I didn’t feel any WOW neither. That is why I am going to keep wearing my OPN S 1, until they don’t work anymore for me.
@mrted Your Audi showed you how to replaced the battery, my audi said she will need to send them back, which I think is not right. How much did you have to pay for extra battery?
I know it may be hard to find a very noisy environment like a busy restaurant to try out the More there nowadays with the pandemic still raging on, but have any of you been able to find an alternate noisy environment to try it on? Maybe in a noisy cafeteria at work, or inside a moving car at freeway speed with loud road noise where you have to carry out a conversation?
I’m hoping that the More may be more effective in noisy situations compared to the OPN, but unless you have to deal with noisy environments very frequently, it does make sense that less noisy situations may only show tiny incremental improvements over the OPN.
What about the music mode, listening to not necessarily live music, but at least from stereo speakers or sound bars (not from streaming)? I’m not expecting the More to do better than the OPN here, but I’m curious on whether the deep neural network knows that it’s music and process it differently, or bypass it altogether so it would sound normal. Or maybe it has a built-in Music program that bypasses the deep neural network altogether like how the OPN built-in Music program bypasses the OpenSound Navigator Noise Reduction altogether.
@kca333 in another thread was sharing his price of $3600 OTD for a pair of Oticon More 1 from Budget Hearing in Minneapolis, MN with 3 initial visits and $35/visit after, including full factory warranty. That’s such a great price. He was smart to ask for the unbundled pricing.
I’ve wondering about buying HAs online or unbundled but worried about the subsequent per visit fees. But with savings like $1k or more, it seems like it’s worth it. After initial visits, i barely see my audi except for annual hearing tests.
Do we have guidance on when the non rechargeable version is coming out?
Looks like there is new firmware for the Oticon More, Audi said it’s mainly for Bluetooth.
You should consider trialing some Unitron aids. Most hearing aid users perform better or no different on auditory-alone emotional awareness tasks without their hearing aids. They rely on visual cues to perceive emotion.
An independent research group in 2018 looked at the available research and found that Hearing aids in general fail to give people access to the emotional cues in speech.
Unitron are the only brand who are the exception and give new and existing users access to the emotional cues in speech. I fit all my blind clients with these devices and they strongly prefer them. You can find out more here: Can we capture the deeper meaning behind conversations?
@vigetan tried the More 1 for 2 weeks and wasn’t impressed with it. No wow! Factor. Maybe it wasn’t tuned right?
I have been wearing oticon More 1 for two weeks now and I will be honest: I did not feel any improvement compared to opn 1. The audioprosthetist configured it correctly by copying the opn 1 settings and inserted it on more 1. Sorry for my poor English
