I kept them at their start-up volume for about 6hrs yesterday before giving in to adjusting them down. I can tollerate incoming sound much better than the sound of my own voice which really is throwing me just now.
I will continue to work with my provider in the short term and see if they come up with a solution. I will of course keep my options open and look for a second opinion from another supplier.
