I found a thread titled “How does Resound compare to new Phonak Audeo-B Direct?” that was very informative about the new Phonak Audeo-B Direct streaming abilities/problems. But I did not see much about a comparison between Resound and Phonak. BLUEJAY - did you not look at the Resound? Is there a reason you did not go any further with the Resound? I am in exactly the same place as you are. Monday I pick up my new Phonak Audeo B Direct based on their claim that I could connect directly with my phone. Silly me thought that meant connect directly with other blue tooth devices.
Frankly, with a profound hearing loss its hard for me to judge between slight differences in the sound quality of different hearing aids. So with this purchase I was looking for better, more convenient connectivity. I thought I had found it with the Phonak, but now I’m not sure.
When I look at a comparison of Resound ot Phonak, Resound seems to fall short in sound quality. I know that how well I like the sound of any hearing aid is subjective, so I guess I’ll have to go back and listen to the Resound. I just wish the process of selecting/buying/using a hearing aid could be simpler. Sorry for whining.
I’m having a little trouble with the new format so if there was a further discussion of the comparison could you point me in that direction?
