Thanks for this explanation. I will try it.
I carry my Airpods Pro 2’s and Eargo 7’s in their respective cases in a backpack or pocket (both cases are pretty small). When flying I just switch from the Eargo’s to the Airpods when I get to the Airport (and on the plane). I would probably do the same for train travel - but I do get some would prefer not to be swapping hearing aids when travelling.
Edit: I should add I find the Airpods Pro 2’s work well for me as hearing aids when not streaming - so I don’t have to switch them around during the trip.
Just as an update, my son gave me a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones to try.
They work really well over my HAs which I can now just leave streaming from my phone so I can take phone calls without changing any settings.
Noise cancelling when watching my iPad on the train is very good and they work well in the office on Zoom calls as the noise cancelling also helps with background noise there. Just took a little while to adjust to not hearing my own voice as loud but fine now.
Will stick with this option for the time being but thanks again for all the suggestions, it’s good to know what all the options are.
