The OPN has an adaptive feature that allows you to adjust gradually based on a preset number of hours you use it to go from easier settings for the ears to more regular settings for the ears in the end. I think it may be a 3 or 4 step process. As your audi about this.
Or you can use the volume buttons to turn things down when you feel tired and overwhelmed. That’d be your manual adjustment.
It took me about a month to start getting my brain adjusted to everything I could hear from the OPN, and I’ve already been wearing HAs for around 20 years. At first the distracting noises were annoying because my old HAs helped filter them out a bit. After a while I don’t even notice them anymore. Everybody’s adjustment period will be different. Since you’re new to HAs, it may take longer for you. Just take it easy and don’t be shy to turn it down or turn it off if you feel tired.
