Negotiating the price of hearing aids

Oticon More 1 for $2999.00. It is listed on EBay today.

The More 1 cost at Budget Hearing for $3600 is really good. There should be no sales tax on hearing aids, though, as they’re medical devices. @kca333 I wonder if they’re willing to sell to out-of-state buyers, and if the 3 initial office visits are not necessary, whether it would go down a little bit more (maybe $100 less)? I think when I’m ready to get the More 1, I may give them a call. I think I’ve said all this before anyway.

@bluebillranch I see a lot of new hearing aids ads from South Korea for very good pricing. But I don’t know if you’ll be subjected to custom fees or not, and also how you’d go about getting warranty service for it if there’s any warranty. Have you bought hearing aids from South Korea vendors before? If yes, please share your experience.

Certainly it’d be easier to ship hearing back to Budget Hearing in MN for warranty service and replacement than to deal with shipping things back to South Korea for service, even if allowed.

I’m not sure if Budget would ship outside the state. You could surely call them to find out. The top tier Oticon More for $3600 is what I paid and that included 3 follow up visits
