Got my first time hearing aids yesterday afternoon. I ordered them through Online Hearing about 10 days ago. I had done a good deal of research on this site and by watching many reviews on You Tube before ordering the Phonak Lumity 90 LR. When I got them they were pre-programmed by an audiologist from the company. I charged them to full and then put them in. Used the medium size open dome to start. This morning I changed to the large size open dome for what I hope is a better fit. Time will tell. The medium size itched in my ear for some reason. Today the itching has stopped. I must have gotten use to the open door in my ear.

I did successfully set up the Bluetooth and paired the aids to my phone and the my phonak app. All worked well once I figured out a couple of quirks on my Samsung S20 plus. I can and have talked successfully on the the phone using my hearing aids in a quiet environment. The sound was very good. I streamed some music from Spotify, and it was decent, not like my Bose Head Phones would sound, but decent. Touch control took a bit of time for me to figure out, but even got that working.

I was surprised at the sound quality of these hearing aids. I worried that I would hate the sound of speech and listening to television, etc; but they are quite good. Not like my hearing when I was a young man, but quite good. Certainly, a great improvement over not having them. So far I really like them. I have not yet experience difficulty with adjusting to them, which was somewhat of a surprise to me since, I read so much about adjusting difficulties.

I will be meeting with the company audiologist on line in a few days to see how I am doing and to discuss any tweaks to settings etc. I have yet to figure out some adjustments (basically making and saving them), but most things have gone smoothly.

I will be looking for a local audiologist for periodic check ups. Perhaps the one who tested my hearing at the ENT will help me with that, but if not I will look further. I would like to get a real ear measurement to fine tune my aids, if possible.

So far it has been been a pleasant experience for me. I am so happy I can hear so much better. Later this week going to try them out in more noisy environments. Think I will ease into that experience.

Any comments, questions, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Glad you seem to find them fine straight away.

You said you changed the domes. I think domes are probably the most important thing after having the aids tuned. They must be comfortable or else you will no wear them.

I went the other way and have the smallest domes I could get. They are not the best for audio but are the most comfortable.
